GELATI-DA® is a proprietary brand of Gelati Co., a Minnesota corporation founded in 1995, by David Cannon, a "gelatiere" (Master class Italian ice cream maker) since 1981, and Twin Cities native. David trained exclusively with two, Italian Guild Master ice cream makers from Treviso, Italy. During the past 26 years, he has developed over 150 flavors of “gelato” (ice cream) and “sorbetto” (non-dairy, real fruit water ice). David’s GELATI-DA is the only true and authentic re-creation of the world's first ice cream found in today’s marketplace. Gelati Co. is currently closely-held, privately-owned and is dedicated to developing and marketing high quality, lower fat authentic Italian frozen confections and novelties.

An important part of Gelati Co's overall mission is to give back to the communities in which it serves.  The Company has and will continue to support charitable organizations that directly fund children’s physical and mental health/disease research and adult cardiovascular research. Corporate charitable involvement most often takes the form of donations of free product and labor which are utilized by these worthy organizations in their fundraising efforts.
